About us / Corporate social responsibility
As an organisation, and as individuals, we are concerned about the world we live in and about the future of future generations.
We are a value-centred company; this is the core of our day-to-day business. With this in mind, we are aware of the world that surrounds us; we believe that, like the Rainbow, we can help make the world brighter. Thanks to our team, we can make this happen. Throughout the year, we take a number of initiatives and, with the help of different external partners, organise our Corporate Social Responsibility activities. On a regular basis, we support a variety of causes that are in line with our values. We at Rainbow are proud that we can contribute, even if only with small steps, to making the world a better place.
Annual Charity Book Collection and Donation
Every Summer, together with our clients, candidates, and other stakeholders, we strive to collect as many books, DVD's, and CD's as we can, to offer to the Red Cross. The idea is to donate them to the Red Cross so they can get funds from them to do good. The action usually runs from June until September.
This year's edition was a success, after counting, we were happy to conlcude that we collected approximately 500 books, CD's and DVD's. We thank our clients, candidates and colleagues for their warmth, engagement, and enthusiasm for this initiative.
The pyjama challenge
Rainbow Resources Group believes in the talents of people and advocates maximal chances at development and success for everyone. We, therefore, support initiatives such as Bednet's Pyjama Challenge. Bednet is an organisation that allows sick children to keep up and develop their talents.
Donating time to charity
Time is our most precious and limited resource. With this in mind, Rainbow Resources Group decided back in 2018 to donate ten working days to charity. We volunteered on a farm that offers therapeutic activities for children and adults with a disability. We will help with the cultivation of the farm and help reinforce its infrastructure. The team members were all eager to roll up their sleeves.
We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing paper waste. We do this by privileging e-mail and double-sided printing, working with partners who recycle our shredded documents, by recycling IT equipment and electronic devices, and by promoting public transport.
Furthermore, our Managing Director contributes financially to a selected number of charitable organisations and is a Member of the Board of Directors of a "sheltered workshop".
